Craig Stanley graduated from high school in Sunnyvale CA in 1971 and attended the University of California for 2 years. After two years in the Air Force during the Vietnam war he attended a cosmetology school in San Jose CA where he graduated in 1974. He was a stylist for 17 years and in 1994 bought his first salon. The Salon is James Craig Haircolor & Design in Saratoga CA, which has received many honors such as being selected for 6 years for inclusion in the "Salon Today 200", a listing of the best salons in North America (Salon Today is the industry’s premier business publication). The salon has also been awarded the title of "Best Haircolor in Silicon Valley" by San Jose magazine for 3 years. The salon’s business plan is to take students directly from local schools and train them for 1 year so that they may be proficient to work with a high priced demanding clientele. They have developed a teaching staff and an instructional program that is the benchmark for such programs in Northern California. Craig has also served on the "Advisory Boards" for cosmetology programs at local City Colleges as a community liaison. He has done consulting for other salons, speaking at West Coast hair shows, and regularly teaches business classes at local cosmetology schools. Click here to go back. |
