Redken Artists Connection
January 7-10, 2012
The Academy for Salon Professionals Cosmetology educators will be attending the Redken Artists Connection (RAC) for four days beginning January 7, 2012. This Redken sponsored event brings together over 1000 Redken artists in a "think thank" brainstorming and educational event. This exclusive event is mandatory for Redken artists and a privelege for select instructors from Redken affiliated schools. This year the event will be held at the Red Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas!

World AIDS Day
December 1, 2011
The Academy For Salon Professionals participates in World AIDS Day with Hairdressers Against AIDS, an AIDS awareness program.
Redken artist Rosa Cisneros spent the morning of December 1 education Academy students about how they can make a difference in the world by understanding and informing others about the dangers of AIDS in the world.

Students Bring Style to the '09 Harker Fashion Show February 20, 2009 |

Early Friday morning, Academy students met at the San Jose Convention Center to lend their talents to the 2009 Harker fashion show, dinner gala, and live auction, providing gorgeous styling, haircuts, and makeup to models backstage.

All proceeds went to Harker’s Scholarship Fund, professional training for faculty, and a new library.

Academy students were surprised on Thursday morning with a friendly in-house style and makeup competition; tasked with utilizing their skills to create a fantasy runway look on models. Winners received prizes including best makeup, best styling, and best overall look.
