Here’s what you need to know when considering esthetician school:
• You have to be 17 years of age or older to apply.
• Your basic level of education needed for entry is a G.E.D. or a high school degree.
• Esthetician school programs usually take roughly 4 months full time to complete, but can take longer if you decide to go for further training.
• In order to qualify to get your license as an esthetician, you need 600 hours of education, which is determined based on the requirements of the state of California.
• After finishing your education, you need to take the State Board exam and pass it to get your license to work legally.
